If your message was delivered to your contact's device, you will see “Delivered” at the bottom of your most recent outgoing message.
This is not a read receipt and does not confirm that your contact has read your message.
Please note that a:
- Gray message bubble indicates that the message could not be sent. This can be from no internet or data connection, from not accepting a safety number change, or a few other scenarios where the alert provides more information.
- Light blue message bubble indicates your device is trying to send – if it does not change to dark blue, it could be from a poor data connection.
- Dark blue message bubble indicates your message was sent to our servers. If your message gets to this point, then there is no issue with your device.
- "Delivered" underneath your most recent outgoing message indicates the message was delivered to your contact’s phone – but does not indicate that the message was read. Your contact will have to be online for your message to be Delivered.
